Air pollution contributes to around 43,000 early deaths every year. It is the biggest environmental threat to public health. Not enough is being done to address this.
Toxic air causes inflammation of the airways, lung condition exacerbations, and asthma attacks. In England, 98.7% of us breathe in dangerous levels of air pollution. Long term, toxic air can lead to increased chances of lung cancer, cardiovascular disease and early death.
We're calling for big changes nationally as well as tailored changes in local communities. This way we can make sure that the right solutions are introduced at the right level. And ensure all of us can breathe freely.
We’re campaigning for urgent action to clean up the air we breathe. This is our battle for breath. Join us.
